My GrandMothers Trip Itinerary
I hold a lovely leather bound book of my GrandMothers trip abroad in 1929. Particularly of interest is her visit to Bristol England and the English cousins I have heard of all of my life. I can remember paging through the velvet bound book with all of the pictures without names and wondering about them.http://www.rootsweb.com/~wisauk/Trip1.htm

In the Spring of 2005 Carl and I ventured to Bristol, UK. We rented a car and traveled the area for over a week. What a thrill to travel on the wrong side of the road in a shift car (shift was backwards as well), not to forget the narrow roads. Our luggage was lost in Amsterdam and so our trip began. One of our objectives was to tour the haunts of our ancestors in the area. The family JONES was our objective. For the most of them the Pub life was theirs. I believe that the JONES family worked at least 4 pubs in the Bedminster area of Bristol. The Red Cow pub as it looks in 2005, on Easter weekend. This pub on busy West Street in Bedminster, Bristol, Somerset UK. If you follow the link on this post you will see a picture of the Pub as it was in the early 1900's.http://bristolslostpubs.eu/page106.html

I am told some of the original stone from the Red Cow was used in the construction of this B&B
Hutton, Somerset, UK 2005

The Mendip Farm today, some larger than in the early late 1800's when name was Canada Farm and farmed by Aaron Jones. This farm sits on three townships, one being Hutton.

Jones Family in Wallet Sized photos

We need help here in validating that these are in fact who we think they are. Unfortunately we held an old family album that contained pictures mostly labeled English Cousin. Our English cousins resided mainly in Bedminster, Bristol, UK.
